The African Women Empowerment Forum
- Established in April 2006 by women of African origins who are Refugees and Sanctuary seekers
- An initiative born with the voice of African women oppressed and under-represented and facing social exclusion to help their plight
- Founded on the fundamentals that traditionally and culturally African women are mothers, burden bearers and risk takers in society, this enables African women naturally to teach their children to be responsible citizens of any society
- Empowerment lightens the burden of caring for the people, the language and the
culture fending for the family and its roots and meaning.
